Counseling and Supportive Services
At Women’s Clinic of Lincoln, our comprehensive approach to women’s health care includes availability of Counseling and Supportive Services with Barb Morton, RNC, APRN. Barb is a registered Nurse certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her many years as a counselor and clinical practitioner maker her especially sensitive to the difficulties life and illness often present. In addition to counseling many types of clients, she acts as a patient advocate and helps people regain control of their lives.
Counselors offer objective support and guidance in a safe place to assist clients in dealing with life problems. By being an active listener and using the therapy method which best meets the needs of the client, the counselor serves as an “emotional tour guide” to help the client in finding meaning, identifying resources and building on strengths to solve problems and gain perspectives. If you are diagnosed with an illness, Barb can help you understand your diagnosis and treatment as well as the potential impact on your life.
